Body Positivity: Simple Ways to Celebrate Your Body

Empowering women. It’s a phrase we hear spoken all of the time. But what does it mean? Part of it comes down to celebrating what it means to be a woman. As a woman, our bodies are often under scrutiny. If they don’t look a certain way, you’re unattractive. Well, this couldn’t be further from the truth. All bodies are attractive. But being attractive to other people isn’t the be-all and end-all. Our bodies are strong. They can grow a whole person inside of them. And that’s not something we should brush over. In this blog post, we’ll take a look at some quick, sure-fire ways, to get you on the path to self-love and body positivity. It’s a journey, and loving your body might not come easily to you. That’s just fine too. Taking things one step at a time is sometimes all we can do. Eventually, you’ll reach the point where you are proud of what you have, or don’t have. That’s the aim of the game. Your body, your business. So, here we go…

Write down all the things you love about your body.

This is something you can sit and meditate on for a little while if needed. Don’t just give up. Your body can do amazing things! Write them all down. You could even treat yourself to some modern office supplies, like rose gold pens or rose gold desk accessories, to help your journey. There’s just something about using modern office supplies that gets us in the right frame of mind. Chic desk accessories can make all the difference.

Treat your body!

Do things that make you feel great. A manicure, a bubble bath, a hair cut, or whatever else you fancy doing can make you feel great and fall back in love with yourself again. Keep a diary or note of what you’ve done each day, or week, to treat yourself. Some pretty stationery, or fancy pens, can keep you motivated to continue your journey.

Motivation is key!

So often we start something, whether that be our body positivity journey or anything else, and find that we lack the time, energy, or focus to keep going. As women, no matter what our situation, we’re always busy! We need something that reminds us of the reason for our journey. The perfect idea for this? A motivational wallpaper. It might sound silly but that little reminder could be the push we needed. Alternatively, pull out that beautiful stationery and leave yourself notes (stick them to your fridge or mirror). This works just as well too!

Your body is beautiful, powerful, and you should love it!

Taking the time to work on our relationship with our body is something that can often get swept under the carpet (we’re all so busy doing other things)! But what’s more important than loving ourselves? After all, we’re stuck with our bodies, whether we love them or not, so we might as well make that effort to be happy with ourselves. Right?
