There is always one person in a friendship group who is obsessed with plants. Maybe it’s you? I’m definitely the one in my friend group. When you are buying gifts for your green thumbed friend, it can be hard to know where to start if you’re not a plant lover yourself. This is a quick guide for those of you who aren’t the most plant-minded and who’d like to buy a plant related gift for a friend. Here we go…
Let’s start with the obvious… Plants. What do you buy a plant lover? A plant! It’s the perfect gift for plant lovers. If I were you, I’d maybe go with something a little unique, something they’re not likely to already have in their collection. And, even if they do, plant lovers usually can’t get enough of these.
- String of Pearls (Needles, Beads, or Hearts) are great gifts. Plant lovers have a soft spot for dangling plants, let me assure you of that. They’re always a win.
- Air plants are something I’ve recently become obsessed with. As an added bonus, they’re super unusual so your plant lover friend will likely not have one.
- Other favorites include Peace Lilies, Parlor Palms, and Ferns. They always go down a treat.
Plant themed office supplies! Who wouldn’t love a plant themed notepad or other plant related beautiful stationery? A cool office gift for a plant lover is a sliding webcam cover, one that could be placed over their phone camera or laptop camera. Not only are these great for privacy, but you can purchase the cutest webcam covers with the sweetest little plants on them. Perfection!
Plant based homeware. If you’re anything like me, you’re obsessed with both beautiful stationery and homeware. Now, my desk is already kitted out with fancy pens, and rose gold office supplies, so for me, I’d love some plant themed homeware to complement this. A plant stand (or two) is a great place to start. You can purchase the most beautiful rose gold one too. I’m obsessed with this one from Etsy: Plant Stand. Plant cushion covers and blankets also make for cozy additions to any home, and your plant lover friend will love you for that! Another idea? Plant pots! You can’t go wrong with plant pots. The motto of many a plant lover is ‘the more the merrier’.
